Radiation Safety Of Workers & Members Of The Public

The regulations governing the safety of radiology workers (and members of the public) are set out in S.I. 125 of 2000 which is based on the European Basic Safety Standard Directive. Under this law, the custody or use of irradiating apparatus is subject to licensing by the Radiological Protection Institute of Ireland (RPII).
