Licencing And Legislation
There are two sets of regulations governing the use of x-ray apparatus in Ireland. One relates to the safety of workers and members of the public, and the other relates to the safety of patients who are subject to medical or dental exposures. These two sets of regulations come under the responsibility of two different Government Departments, and are separately enforced by two different statutory authorities.
